WTO Learning Paths
WTO e-Learning courses follow the Progressive Learning Strategy (PLS), offering structured training along two complementary learning paths:
- Generalists – for government officials seeking broad knowledge of the WTO and trade-related topics
- Specialists – for those focusing on in-depth knowledge in a specific trade area

The WTO e-Learning platform offers various learning formats:
E-Learning Courses: Certified and self-paced courses for all users
Virtual Classrooms: For selected officials alongside in-person training

How to enroll in a course?
To enroll in a course on the WTO e-Learning platform, follow these steps:
- Log in to your WTO e-Learning account.
- Go to the Course Catalogue.
- Browse or search for the course you wish to join.
- Click on the course title to view its full description.
- If the course is open for self-enrollment, click the “Enrol me” button to begin.

How to enroll in Virtual Classrooms?
For Virtual Classrooms, participants typically receive a direct course link via email. You do not need to browse the Course Catalogue. Instead, simply:
- Click the link provided in the email
- Log in to the WTO e-Learning platform
- Enter the enrollment key, if requested

How do I unenroll from a course?
If you're enrolled in the wrong course or in the correct course but in the wrong language, you can unenroll yourself by following these steps:
- Go to the course page
- Click on the "More" tab in the top menu
- Select "Unenrol me from this course"
This will remove the course from your dashboard.

What’s inside a course?
WTO e-Learning courses are self-paced and may include either a single module or multiple modules, depending on the course.
Each module typically contains videos, interactive activities, PDF readings, and pre- and post-tests or quizzes to help you check your understanding throughout the course.
You can start anytime and progress at your own pace. It’s recommended to complete activities in the suggested order for the best learning experience.

How to track progress?
You can view your progress on your Dashboard and the Course page, where a progress bar and checkmarks indicate completed activities. Activities are marked as complete automatically when finished, or manually by checking the "Mark as Done" button next to each item (if allowed). Make sure all required items are marked complete to move forward.
